The International Monetary Fund
The International Monetary Fund has had a role in helping Haiti grow. Not only has the IMF loaned money to support Haiti’s growth (especially after the 2010 earthquake) but has also pardoned Haiti’s debt in order to help Haiti grow, instead of being strapped by debts.
The following video by the IMF discusses the debt pardon that the IMF gave to Haiti.

The World Bank
The World Bank’s job is to help developing countries through loans and Haiti is one of those countries. Haiti has benefited from multiple programs funded by The World Bank. One example is a 12-month strategy endorsed in December of 2011. The strategy allotted $180 million to infrastructure, disaster management, education and jobs.

United Nations
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is needed in Haiti because of the extremely poor conditions in the country. UNICEF works to find the needs of the country through research and then shows what money is needed to help the needs of the country. UNICEF’s page on Haiti functions to illustrate what money is needed to work on the goals of UNICEF for the year.
The World Health Organization (WHO) is active in Haiti because of the illnesses related to the high poverty level. Initiatives such as free obstetrician care have been implemented with the help of the World Health Organization.

Haiti has been a member of the World Trade Organization since January 30, 1996. This means that Haiti has been able to benefit from trade because of few to no tariffs. The following link from the WTO breaks down Haiti’s trade even more,
CARIBBEAN BASIN INITIATIVE
The Caribbean Basin initiative gives select countries free trade with the US. The United States has given the member countries access to US markets for most goods, all duty free. This benefits Haiti because it makes it easier for Haiti to buy and sell goods with the US, therefore helping the country’s economy.
